What better way to celebrate summer than the Eagle Harbor Art Fair? The combination of beautiful location and a huge art show has been a winner for 51 years. Please join the Copper Country Associated Artists (CCAA), other exhibitors and visitors on August 13th & 14th, 10am to 5pm on Saturday and noon to 4pm on Sunday to enjoy the best days of summer.
The fair features a great diversity of work including paintings, drawings, photography, sculpture, quilting , fiber, pottery, jewelry, stained glass, basketry, silver, iron, copper, stone, wood, bark, computer assisted prints and other materials. Each work is original and presented by the individual artist who produced it. With over 55 juried / invited artists, the quality of the creative work of the exhibiting artists is well known and annually attracts hundreds of collectors and buyers.
Ginny Douglas is the CCAA featured artist. She will be showing her wonderful paintings in the undercroft of the “St. Peter By The Sea” church. “I will display a series of water media compositions, some with collage elements, based on natural surroundings here in the Keweenaw. Water, rocks, trees and especially Lake Superior influence all that I paint, creating mood, color, motion, pattern and season. It is the pulse of the Copper Country. Ginny will be on hand to answer questions about her art. Also at this location will be an exhibit of recent work by the members of the CCAA.
The fair has become a major event for all of Eagle Harbor. The weekend includes food and beverage services provided by the

Keweenaw Lions Club, a bake sale, and all the Keweenaw Historical sites will be open. A handicap accessible restroom is available.
Copper Country Associated Artists maintain a Studio/Gallery at 112 Fifth St. in Calumet offering workshops and a gallery of members’ work. For more information, contact the CCAA at 906 337 1252 or the CCAA web site: www.ccartists.org.
Come dance with the big lake, Eagle Harbor and a fantastic art show on August 13th and 14th.
